Although Volvo has a 90-Series crossover SUV in the XC90, the V90 Cross Country represents a healthy combination of wagon and CUV. Better yet, it’s more than capable of going off-road—all while offering the same impressive luxurious experience that has become the norm amongst the Swedish automaker’s top-shelf offerings.

The big differentiator between the V90 Cross Country and its wagon sibling is ground clearance. This model has 8.3 inches verses the standard V90’s 6-inch rise, which gives it more capability. Power comes by way of a 2.0-liter twin-charged four-cylinder with 316 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of twist. Like the S90 and XC90, the V90 Cross Country delivers a soft, compliant on-road feel, with off-road being a bit more dynamic.

Watch the video above to see what that’s like. The new V90 Cross Country is arriving at our Volvo dealership in Alpharetta, GA soon, so stop by for a test drive.
