As 2017 gets underway, Volvo can look back on 2016 with something to brag about. US sales came in and reported that Volvo had a positive percentage change for the month of December and the overall year of 2016 compared to 2015.
According to media.volvocars.com, the month of December saw 10,129 Volvo vehicles sold in the US. This is 8.4 percent more than what they sold in December of 2015, and it was name the best December for sales since 2004. On an annual level, Volvo sold 82,724 vehicles in the US, putting 2016 18.1 percent higher than 2015. The most sold car of the year was the XC90 with 32,526 of them selling this year, 3,308 of which were sold in the month of December. The XC60 and the S60 came in second and third in overall sales.
