There's been a recent trend across the world of automakers trying to get as much horsepower out of their engine liters as humanly possible. If it were a competition, we think that Volvo would be the clear winner, based on the High Performance Drive-E Powertrain they just officially unveiled.
Although the Gothenburg-based automaker is keeping mum on its future applications, we think we'll be seeing it on the new XC90 they just unveiled. That would be cool on a number of levels, especially given its turbocharger, electric motor hybrid setup will deliver north of 450 horsepower in its highest end form.
