Whether it's definitely a new Volvo or just the whisper of a rumor about some new concept, we here at North Point Volvo are always excited to hear news from our favorite automaker. This time, we're hearing chatter about the V40 and how it may in fact be potentially hitting the American market. We're pretty excited, to say the least, even if nothing is set in stone.
With the V60 already slated to come west soon, news involving the V40 joining it would be the icing on the foreign-import cake. Tassos Panas, the head of marketing and product development at Volvo Cars of North America agrees as well, as he thinks the V40 definitely has a place in the U.S. auto market.
U.S. Volvo executives have been pushing for this to happen but the model just doesn't meet our country's required standards. The good news is that neither was the V60 but that ended up changing for the better; who's to say it can't happen for the V40 as well? It's certainly an attractive choice too, with Europeans getting the option of six engines - three gasoline and three diesel - in the five-door hatchback.
For now, however, we'll just have to keep crossing our fingers and hoping. Until then, why not check out the current Volvo lineup for yourself? We're located conveniently in Alpharetta, GA and our on-site auto experts would be delighted to show you the next car of your dreams, no matter which model it may be.
