There are a ton of amazing new 2013 and 2014 Volvo models available here at North Point Volvo that drivers in the greater Atlanta area and beyond can't help but love. However, if there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that concept vehicles are always just a little more desirable. Since they are generally never put into production, they often boast an incredibly forward-thinking design language and have beastly amounts of power roaring beneath the hood.
So what happens when a concept gets an overwhelmingly positive response?
Well, if you're Volvo, then you strongly consider actually putting it into production.
Lovingly (and, we assume, temporarily) named the Volvo Concept Coupe, styled after the P1800, and equipped with a super powerful hybrid drivetrain, it was first seen at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show. Audience members were wowed, to say the least. Now, Volvo's board of directors are considering putting it into production.
The Concept Coupe had a supercharged and turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor on the rear axle for some serious muscle; however, it's likely that the production model will make some changes to this pairing. There's also no word yet on price or production numbers but we're going to guess that price will be high and the amount produced will be quite low. However, we'll just have to wait and see.
