Volvo understands this and strives to make their interiors as luxurious, comfortable, and convenient as possible. Now, they're cresting a new peak in excellence with the hiring of a big-name interior designer, Robin Page.
Many of you might not recognize the name, and that's fine; it's what our blog is here for! Page comes to Volvo with a veritable tsunami of experience towering behind him, having worked as an interior designer for Bentley, the British luxury automaker, for 12 years. His career started with an apprenticeship at Jaguar and he even had some involvement with Rolls-Royce and Bugatti. If you had any worries about his interior intellect, we hope they've been put to rest.
Page's involvement with Volvo is a step towards their plans to challenge three major German luxury brands. With Volvo's current excellence, Page is the sumptuous icing on the elegance cake. If you ask us, these three competitors better have trump cards up their sleeves if they hope to stay competitors for very long.
The first vehicle Page will be working on is the redesign of the already-blissful Volvo XC90 SUV for the 2015 model year. This is fantastic news for those who will be the market for a truly quality family vehicle in the next year or so.
