Your Time is More Valuable Than the 3,000-Mile Oil Change Myth

It's already difficult finding the time to fit in an oil change, and that's probably something that you only do a few times each year. Get the Most From Regular Tire Rotations

Your tires are some of the most important pieces of equipment on your vehicle. As such, you want them to be in good working condition at all times. Use the Right Wiper Blades for the Job

Winter wiper blades are just what you need if you are going to be driving in the winter. Not only will they last the cold winter months but they will also perform better than your summer ones since they have been designed to deal with the harsh winter conditions. However, once spring hits - and it's becoming more obvious here in Alpharetta each day - you'll want to switch back to basic or all-season wiper blades.

Belts and Hoses Play Critical Roles in Your Performance

Your vehicle maintenance routine should definitely revolve around the big items, such as engine oil changes and transmission services. But in between those, you will want to look at and maintain the smaller items that can lead to bigger problems if left unattended. Your belts and hoses are a prime example of this.

Doing a check on your belts and hoses is fairly quick and simple. Do a visual inspection of them under proper light. Give a little squeeze and press on them looking for cracks and signs of wear.

Maintaining Your Cooling System Provides Engine Benefits

The extreme temperatures that your vehicle's engine experiences requires a dedicated cooling system. That is where your radiator comes in: It cycles liquid coolant through the system to keep your engine at a normal operating temperature. Without it, your engine would overheat and cause some possibly permanent damage that could even render it useless.

Over time, the cooling system will get dirty and will then require maintenance of its own. When that time comes, you will need to drain all of the old coolant out and dispose of it.

Your Brake System is Dependent Upon Brake Fluid

Many drivers don't actually realize that their brake system is dependent on a fluid in order to bring their vehicle to a stop. Your brake system is actually a hydraulic system that requires having brake fluid in order to work.

Why is Your Wiper Fluid Important?

As a driver, you may only think of checking fluid levels when planning a road trip. But did you know that windshield wiper fluid is just as important as oil or transmission fluid to your car?

Dirty windows are a safety hazard in winter due to mud on roadways from melting ice or other road debris kicked up by fellow commuters. Keep fluid topped off to have clear visibility for driving in any weather. The car's windshield washer system can clear away any mud that gets splashed on the windshield from passing vehicles, without smearing, as long as there…

How Does Tire Rotation Help?

The concept of tire rotation is still not clear to many people, but it is an essential service that must be performed around every six to seven months or close to six thousand miles, whichever is early. In tire rotation service, the tires of the front are fitted at the rear, and the rear tires are fixed at the front.

The idea is to let the tires wore out equally because the pressure on different tires is different. In most cases when tire rotation is not done, one or two tire wears out much sooner than the others, which calls…
